A friend of ours told us about the vegetarian restaurant Dolma on one of our very first days in Brussels. We tried it out rather soon – and ever since it has been one of our favourite restaurants in Brussels. It’s the perfect place when we are in the mood for a healthy buffet.
You definitely will find a lot of different dishes – but you won’t find any meat! Dolma is completely vegetarian. And the best thing is, even as meat-eaters we couldn’t care less! Because the food is really yummy. The menu changes daily, so it is best to check out their website and pick a day that suits you. We recently went on a day when spinach was on offer. We love spinach! There were spicy lentils too, a vegetable korma, salads, a lovely quiche, grilled potatoes and sweet potatoes and saitan and tofu-fillets. (Now don’t cringe! Really: You must try! Especially the tofu was great.)
We highly recommend going lunchtime. The buffet costs less (it isn’t cheap, we are talking about Brussels!). The lunchtime price is 18 Euro, the evening price 24 Euro. This doesn’t include a drink, but it does include pudding! We love the heavenly chocolate-mocca-tart. It really is devine.
The staff was friendly too, they made sure there was always enough food. (However, there weren’t crowds at lunchtime.) We both had a tea, it suited the oriental atmosphere. They have a fantastic tea selection. Try Green Chai or a Yogi Tea!
