One of our favourite corners of inner Brussels has just gotten a little bit more favourable: The area around Rue du Marché au Charbon already houses a couple of our most beloved places in Brussels, i.e C’est Bon, C’est Belge, Rachel Burger & Bagels, Au Soleil, Kokob and Moeder Lambic, to name just a few. Now, there’s another reason to go there: Madame Chapeau.
Named, of course, after the famous statue round the corner on Rue du Midi, Madame Chapeau, the resto, specializes in Stoemp and Beers.
They have been open only for a couple of weeks, but we’ve already heard a few good things about it. When we were recently invited for ‘opening drinks’, we came to the following conclusions:
- This looks like a nice place.
- They do a very nice pumpkin soup.
- We should definitively come back to try their stoemp.
